These are your basic sheepskin slip-ons kind of slippers for the girls. And the boys like what we used to call (man does this date me) moccasin slippers. Of course, the only name in sheepskin is Uggs.

You might recognize the name - they are the makers of those Australian sheepskin boots that have been off-the-chart popular for a few years - they're back again this year. Ugg boots worn with leggings or skinny jeans tucked in and a big bulky sweater are the hit!

But in all fairness, these are cool, fashionable and even comfy shoes. You must treat yourself at the end of a long day (or at the beginning!) with these. A popular style is Scuffette UGG Slippers. They're made of soft, cozy sheepskin that keeps your feet warm during winter months and offers moisture-wicking comfort in the summer.

The slip-ons are classy with the sheepskin cuffs and cool stitching on the top. The soles are made out of suede and have the UGG logo on the slipper, which is a great place for all to see.

Check on the status of your Ugg boots at the same time. May as well get these marked of your 'need to have' list too. Especially since the cold and snow are knocking on the door. I have seen these worn with shorts and skirts in the summer and man are they sexy!

Now I must go on record saying I never give into the teens age old adage "Mom I won't fit in if I don't have them". So in order to maintain my respectability as a parent, I will concede because they are sensible shoe wear. (And boy are they cute!)

As you will soon discover because these particular boots are extremely comfortable to wear you may find that you will wear them constantly. This then leads to them becoming covered in dirt and dust as well as retaining the odors that have come from your feet.
An easy to ensure that you Ugg boots retain that just brought look is by using a special product for cleaning them.

However if the cost of buying such cleaning products is somewhat prohibitive then you could carry out the following instead. Below are a number of steps to help you to clean your Ugg boots and get them back to their original condition when you took them out of the
box for the first time.

Step 1 - You need to very lightly dampen the outside of the boot with some cold water. It is important that at no stage do you fully immerse them in water. Immersing them in water not only affects the
lining of the boot inside but will also cause the boot to become misshaped.

Step 2 - Now you need to dilute a solution of cleaner that is appropriate for use on leather material. You should mix one part cleaning solution to one part water and then apply this over the boots using a wet sponge.

Step 3 - As you apply the diluted cleaning solution you should rub the sponge gently over the boots and then rinse this off with another sponge that has been put in clean cold water.

Step 4 - After you have finished the above steps you now need to take some paper towels and stuff these into the boots. You can if you wish use newspaper instead as long as you stuff in enough so that
the boots shape is retained. Then place them in a place to dry. Do not leave them either in direct sunlight or close to a heat source.

Step 5 - Once your Ugg boots have dried out completely you now take either a suede brush or a towel that is lint free and use this to restore the nap on the outside of the boot. If you want to deodorize
the inside of your boot take 2 tspn of baking powder and 2 tspn of corn flour and sprinkle inside the boot. Shake the boots around then let them stand over night before you shake out any excess.
